My gaming set up

The games I play the most are League of Legends, and RPG titles like The Witcher 3. Here’s the equipment I use:

Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR Gaming Montior. 165Hz and 2560×1440 resolution. One of my favorite pieces of my set up.

Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance k65. I like the metal case and exposed keys. It makes it easy to clean. The compact style is nice too, made it very easy to transport around in college.

Mouse: Logitech G303. It’s a bit on the smaller side and has two extra buttons on the side which I use often. It’s been my favorite mouse so far and the customizable RGB lights are nice.

Mouse pad: I’ve been using the same Razer Vespula that I bought from a friend for years now. I like the wrist pad it has. It has two different sides with two different textures. One that’s slick for fast mouse speed and one that’s textured for a more controlled mouse. I’ve been using the slower side for years now.

Headset: This is one of my favorite pieces of the set up. I’m wearing Sennheiser Game Zeros. I did a ton of research before picking them out. The sound quality is the incredible and the mic is also very high quality. I read somewhere that these headphones might require an additional sound card to fully unlock it’s potential, but my gaming MOBO has a sound card that’s perfectly capable of handling my headphones.

Computer: Now can start getting to the good stuff.

  • CPU is an Intel 8086k with 6 cores. This thing is a monster
  • GPU is a Nvidia Titan Xp. I had two and would’ve run them SLI but there isn’t a single game on the market that would even use two Titans. Titan’s outperform the 1080TI and are more geared towards video editing.
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • 500GB SSD and 1T HDD
  • Case is a very plain looking black corsair case. It gives me the “sleeper” look. It looks plain but is packing some intense power.
